BHCS PING PONG A THON 2026
Transformed into a vibrant, festival-like venue, the school was filled with energy and community spirit, from the first serve to the final rally, on our Ping-Pong-A-Thong day in 2026. Even Matt Maudlin (Chief Relationship Officer from The PONG) couldn't stop praising the incredible vibe and passion brought by our BHCS families!
Thanks to the incredible generosity of our BHCS community, we estimate to have raised over $11,500! Our accounts department has been a little delayed with the new SLC building to confirm the exact figure, but it will be one to celebrate and share with you!
Our fantastic parent group, PULSE, were absolute rockstars at the after-school PONG event! They worked tirelessly baking, cooking and serving delicious treats for students, staff and parents/carers to enjoy between table tennis matches. From running fun, interactive games to braiding hair and face painting, their energy created a buzzing, festival-like atmosphere for the whole community.
The fashion was wonderfully loud! All day, we saw a sea of neon coloured tops, leg warmers, sweatbands, and some truly magnificent double denim and 80’s gear worn by staff, students, parents and carers.
Our enterprising Year 9 students - Luca, Claire, Ruth, and Aisha were joined this year by fifteen enthusiastic Year 6 students - Allegra, Callum, Hamish, Harry, Indie, Ivy, Lachlan, Lucy, Millie M, Millie R, Natalia, Ollie, Sophia, Summer and Violet to create and showcase a wonderful array of handmade and crafted goods. Items included 3D-printed fidgets, jewellery, badges, heat packs, and toys. They showed incredible patience and kindness as they guided our youngest primary students with their purchases, ultimately raising an impressive $1,396.25!
Bidding was fast and furious for this year’s silent auction hampers! We were absolutely blown away by the incredible generosity of our school families and friends. This event was a wonderful reminder that when everyone contributes something small, we can accomplish something truly significant together. A huge congratulations to our winning bidders, who walked away with fantastic prizes, all generously donated by our wonderful community!
Of course, at the heart of it all was table tennis. Tables were played on all day with students, parents, carers and teachers trading rallies, laughing, and diving for epic saves. While the ping-pong balls were flying, the true focus of the day was making a difference in supporting the most vulnerable members of our global community.
As a community, we are reminded of the deeper purpose behind our efforts:
"Learn to do right; seek justice. Defend the oppressed. Take up the cause of the fatherless; plead the case of the widow." Isaiah 1:17
By coming together, having fun, and giving generously, we are living out this calling, standing in the gap for those who need it most and turning a game of table tennis into a vehicle for real, lasting change.

An event of this scale only succeeds when our community comes together. A huge thank you to Krista La Greca and Ivan Seskis for leading the BHCS PONG fundraiser with such passion.
We extend special gratitude to our PULSE Parent Community, especially Samantha Ware and Amanda Wight, for bringing the afternoon to life and making it all run so seamlessly. Finally, thank you to our dedicated staff, student leaders, VM students and every single person who joined in to make the day such a resounding success!
