Book Week Dress Up Day Parade

We are excited to celebrate Book Week at Good Shepherd School with our annual Book Week Dress Up Day and Parade on Monday 24th August.

Students are invited to come dressed as their favourite book character or in a costume inspired by this year's CBCA Book Week theme, "A Symphony of Stories." We encourage students to be creative and have fun bringing their favourite stories to life.  Please bring a copy of your book, or a photocopy of the cover, so we can make the link between your costume and the book.

The Book Week Parade will commence at 9:00am in the Quadrangle, where students will have the opportunity to showcase their costumes as they parade around the space. Families are warmly invited to attend. We look forward to seeing the wonderful costumes and sharing this special Book Week event with our school community.

Scholastic Book Fair

We are excited to announce that the Scholastic Book Fair will be returning to Good Shepherd School this term as part of Book Week. The Book Fair provides a wonderful opportunity for students and families to explore a wide range of quality children's books and foster a love of reading.

Students will have the opportunity to visit the Book Fair during the school day on either Friday 21st or Monday 24th August to browse the selection of books available. Purchases will be made on either the 25th or 26th August, where students will be given opportunity to visit the fair in allocated class time.

Families are also warmly invited to visit and purchase books either before or after school on the 25th or 26th August, from 8:30 am to 8:45 am or from 3:10 pm to 3:30 pm.

Every purchase made at the Book Fair helps our school earn rewards that can be used to purchase new books and resources for our classrooms and library. Thank you for supporting this important initiative and helping us continue to build a strong reading culture at Good Shepherd School.

Further information regarding dates, opening times, payment options and opportunities for parents to volunteer will be provided closer to the event.
