Principal's message

Dear Families,

If you are a regular visitor to our school, you would have watched the progress of the Administration building upgrade. We are looking forward to seeing the garden areas take shape and the external screening and railings to be put in place. As the power and internal upgrade is close to completion, we are expecting to be given a hand over date before the end of term. We continue to appreciate your flexibility and patience as the entry to the school changes to work around the building works.

At our Pupil Free Day on Monday 18 November, staff analysed our student data as part of our review processes. The day provided us with an opportunity to plan our improvement journey for 2025 and celebrate our successes. Each staff member shared a success story about the progress made by students in their class. It was particularly exciting to hear about the progress that our students have made over the year in reading.

As the school year is rapidly coming to an end, there are many events and celebrations planned for our students. As we head into summer, the weather can play a significant role in events going ahead as planned. As has been communicated earlier this week, a decision was made to postpone Sports Day due to the forecast temperature in the high 30's. We all need to hope that the weather is kind to us on Tuesday 3 December for our End of Year Celebration and on Thursday 5 December for our Sports Day.

On the End of Year Celebration evening, we are excited that you will be able to purchase your evening meal from Ninin's Indo Street Food truck. La La Late will also be here to satisfy the coffee drinkers amongst you. To support our fundraising efforts, drinks, slushies and icy poles will also be available for purchase during the evening.

Our Year 6 students have been involved in the '$20 Boss' program this semester. The program is about social enterprise and supporting others. The students will be holding a Market Stall on the evening with money raised going towards support of our Breakfast Club.

We will also be holding a Raffle with tickets available for purchase on the night.

We look forward to seeing you at these events.

Kind regards,

Principal
