Student Achievements
Kalinda Kids shine!
Every day Kalinda kids are achieving great things in their classroom and yard, but we know that outside of school, they are often kicking lots of goals as well (literally and figuratively)! Celebrating the growth of 'the whole child' is something we treasure.
If your student has an achievement that you would like to share please send to Mrs. Hopkins so that we can celebrate them in the newsletter! Whether it is a sporting achievement, Karate grade, Cub badge, community service or amazing new skill - we want to share it with our community.
I can't wait to hear about your achievements and share them with our community!

Into the Wild - the musical
Submitted by Priscilla, proud Mum of Director Mika.
On the 24th of October, students from grades 2 to 6 performed a student-run musical, "Into the Wild". The musical was written and directed by grade 6 students Mika and Maiya, based on the first book in the Warrior Cats series. There was singing, acting, dancing (even a tap break and some highland dancing), and more than a few large prop movements by the dedicated backstage crew. Students from the cast, backstage crew and tech crew devoted recesses and lunches over more than two terms to get the performance ready. The Musical was the finale to more than a year of work and students showed their passion, dedication and resilience, with a number of roadblocks arising along the way. Thanks also to all of the teachers involved, who helped bring the musical to life and who gave up breaks to supervise. Well done to the entire team!
