SCIENCE IN EUROPE

What a trip!

Brighton Secondary College's recent STEM tour to Europe was an unforgettable experience for the students.

Over 12 days, they explored three of Europe's most iconic cities: Berlin, Paris, and London.

The trip kicked off in Berlin, where students visited the Berlin Wall, the Computerspiel Museum, and even took part in a genetic fingerprint PCR workshop.

In Paris, the students were captivated by iconic landmarks such as the Eiffel Tower, Place de la Concorde, and the Champs-Élysées.

A memorable visit to the Louvre, where they saw world-class art, was complemented by a scenic cruise along the Seine. The students also engaged in STEM-focused learning with a tour of the Soleil Synchrotron facility, offering a deeper understanding of scientific research.

In London, the students toured the Tower of London, the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, and engaged in workshops at prestigious institutions such as the Royal Institution and the Science Museum.

Throughout the trip, students immersed themselves in both cultural and educational activities, reinforcing their STEM learning while experiencing the rich history and culture of Europe (as well as some obligatory shopping!).

It was a fantastic trip filled with hands-on experiences, making it both educational and incredibly fun. The memories and knowledge gained on this tour will surely stay with the students for a lifetime.
