Calling All Odd Socks

The Grade 2 and SC1 students will be making sock puppets during weeks 5 and 6. We would love to be sustainable and save all odd and damaged socks from the rubbish bin. If you have any clean odd or damaged socks, can you please bring them into school and drop them off at the Prep-2 STEM Room.

Nude Food Friday

On Friday Miss Middlin will be running a Nude Food competition. This competition is aiming to promote sustainability across the school. Nude Food is simply food that is not wrapped in foil, plastic or commercial packaging. On Friday selected students will be allocated a time to survey classes to see how many have brought Nude Food to school. The class with the most students with the most Nude Food will receive the new Nude Food Trophy.

Every fortnight we will be having a STEM question for students to answer. The questions will be posted in the school's newsletter. These questions will not be compulsory, but will be a bit of fun and a challenge for students. Students can write their answer on a piece of paper and place it in the appropriate box inside the STEM room. At the end of the week Miss Middlin will do a lucky dip and select one student from Prep- 2 will receive a small science related prize. The winner for last week’s STEM Question was Bently from Grade two.

This week's STEM question is:

What is a mixture?
