Good afternoon, Parents/Carers,

Stewart House PJ Day

Thank you to all students who participated in the Stewart House PJ Day.  We have raised $91 to go to the good people of Stewart House.  Your contribution goes towards helping disadvantaged kids.

Book Week

Last week we celebrated Book Week.  This year's theme was "Book an Adventure" and is a celebration of 80 years of Children's Book Week.  Thank you to all who came and purchased books from the book fair.  This fair enables us to purchase books that will go into our library for all to enjoy.  The Annual Book Parade last Friday, was a great success with all students and staff dressed as their favourite book character.  Head over to the Book Week Parade Tab in the newsletter to see some photos of the day.

Small Schools Soccer Knockout

Congratulations to our soccer team who played a great game against Almara Public School yesterday.  Once again Almara proved to be too good to beat this time, but we are very proud of our team for their time and dedication practicing during breaks and representing Werris Creek Public School with pride and respect.  Our team this year has achieved the goal of making it through to the third round of competition which is amazing. Almara Public School, we wish you all the best for the rest of the competition and thank you for an amazing game.

Return and Earn for our students

We have set up a purple recycling bin at school for all of our cans, bottles and recyclables to be sent to the Return and Earn facilities to raise funds for our school.  If you have an item that displays the 10c and recycle logo these items can be put in this bin.  The money raised will be known as our "Fun Money" and will go towards excursions and items that will benefit our students and give them affordable opportunities.  Thank you to those who have already brought in recyclables.  If you are able to assist, please bring in your recyclables to our purple bin and we will arrange the recycling.

Kind regards
