This past week at OSHC has been filled with curiosity, creativity, and fun as the children have been experimenting and exploring through a range of engaging activities.

Book Week Celebrations

We are excited to celebrate Book Week! The children have had the opportunity to explore a wonderful collection of books borrowed from Clayton Library, sparking their imagination and love for reading. In preparation for the school’s Book Parade, children are also welcome to design and create their own costumes inspired by their favourite characters. This has encouraged not only creativity but also confidence as they express their love for stories in their own unique ways.

Big Art Competition

Our Big Art competition is well underway, with a new weekly theme to inspire children to enter. Next week’s theme is Floral Vase, and we can’t wait to see the children’s wonderful creations!

Play & Exploration

In addition to Book Week activities, the children have been actively involved in a variety of other experiences: Lego building challenges where they showcased their problem-solving and design skills. Board games that encouraged turn-taking, patience, and teamwork. Cooking activities where the children experimented with ingredients, learned basic cooking skills, and enjoyed tasting their creations together.

What we've noticed

Throughout the week, the children have shown great enthusiasm in trying new things, sharing ideas with their peers, and supporting one another. It has been wonderful to see their friendships grow stronger and their creativity shine in different ways.
