Our Faith Journey
Craft by Grade 1T- Our Prayer Spaces in the Church
Luke 13:22-30
People will come from north and south, east and west, and take their place in the Kingdom of God.
How does this passage challenge us to think about who belongs in God’s Kingdom?
What does this passage teach us about humility and God’s justice?
How can we, as a community, make sure that everyone feels welcome in God’s Kingdom here and now?
On August 8, we came together to participate in Holy Mass as a Catholic community, to celebrate the life and legacy of St Mary of the Cross MacKillop, Australia’s first saint.
At St Peter's, we value interfaith dialogue as it nurtures respect, peace, and understanding, while strengthening our own Catholic identity and reflecting Jesus’ call to love our neighbour.
Grade 5-6 students came together to share their understanding and learn from each other through respectful dialogue on faith.
From our interfaith dialogue emerged a shared commitment to listen with respect, learn from one another, and build stronger connections across our diverse faith traditions. Together, we recognised the importance of promoting understanding and unity in our school community.
At St Peter’s School, we promise to be kind and respectful to everyone. We welcome all people, no matter what they believe. We know that everyone belongs in our school and no one is left out because of their faith. We will listen, care and celebrate the different faiths that make our school a special place.
The Feast of the Assumption is a special day when we remember that Mary, the mother of Jesus, was taken up to heaven, body and soul. To celebrate this important day we had a whole school Mass where our students and staff participated in readings during the Mass.
We are proud to share that our students’ acts of kindness have been featured in the St Vincent de Paul Newsletter for Term 3.
Well done to our Mini Vinnies / Social Justice Leaders !
