This past two weeks at Mount Alvernia have been off the charts—busy, fun, and full of energy!

First up, a huge congratulations to our Year 11 Debating Team, who gave a valiant effort in their last competition debate on the relevance of arts awards (think Grammys and Oscars!). You did us proud! A further congratulations to our speakers in the Japanese competition—we came away with some spectacular outcomes. Well done to you all!

Our Sprout Squad continues to grow and thrive, and the 3-day Battle of the Brains event run by Rachel Feltrin in Week 5 has been amazing. Well done to all the competitors and a big shout-out to Rachel for her incredible organisation and energy! We've also had some amazing activities running for Science Week - which have been a blast (wink, wink!)

Optiminds is continuing full steam ahead, with the competition set to take place at the end of Week 7. The creativity, collaboration, and problem-solving on display from our teams has been inspiring—good luck to all involved!

Meanwhile, Culture Fest preparations are heating up, with rehearsals and practices ongoing. It’s shaping up to be another spectacular event to close out Term 3, showcasing the incredible talent and energy of our students.

We also have some exciting new opportunities for students to get involved. Watch out for EOIs for the Entrepreneurship Club and the Rolys writing competition, with cash prizes on offer for winning entries! Perfect ways for students to explore their passions and creativity.
