High School Connection
On Tuesday, ten of our Year 5 students spent the day at Chatswood High School working alongside students from Artarmon and Mowbray Public Schools under the guidance of the Chatswood High science faculty. They had full access to the school's facilities and spent the day immersed in hands-on, practical learning. It was a fantastic experience and a genuine glimpse into what secondary schooling can look like. We are fortunate to have such a strong and welcoming high school right on our doorstep.
If you would like to hear more about Chatswood HS, you will have the opportunity to meet the Senior Executive team from Chatswood in the coming weeks. We would encourage all families with children from Year 3- 6 to come along, ask questions and get a feel for what the school has to offer.
Athletics Carnival Success
Today was a fantastic day out at our 3 to 6 Athletics Carnival. Students brought real energy and enthusiasm to their events and it was wonderful to see so many of them pushing themselves, cheering each other on and competing in the right spirit throughout the day. Thank you to Ms Malm and the team who organised and ran the day. The planning that goes into an event of this size is considerable and it showed in how smoothly the day ran from start to finish. Thank you also to the families who came along to support and to our students for representing the school so well.
On Wednesday, our K-2 students took part in their in-school carnival, working on fundamental movement skills that will set them up well for the 3-6 carnival in the years ahead. Ms Fahy and the team also organised a wonderful event.
Highly Accomplished Accreditation
I am delighted to share that Ms Carvalho has recently achieved Highly Accomplished Teacher accreditation in NSW, along with national certification as a Highly Accomplished and Lead Teacher. This is a significant professional achievement and a reflection of the dedication that she brings to work every day.
What makes it even more pleasing is that a number of our Chatswood staff are currently pursuing the same pathway. We are very fortunate to have such a talented and professionally driven team inspiring our students every day.
