Term 2 Wrap Up
As we come to the end of another busy and rewarding term, I want to take a moment to sincerely thank our entire school community for the support, encouragement and enthusiasm you continue to show Anglesea Primary School.
Term 2 has been one of those terms that reminds us just how much can be packed into ten short weeks. From classroom learning, excursions, sporting events, propagation day, kitchen garden sessions and everything in between, our students have embraced every opportunity with energy and positivity. It never ceases to amaze me how much we can achieve together in a single term.
A special thank you to our families, volunteers, School Council members and community partners. Whether you've helped in classrooms, attended events, volunteered your time, supported fundraisers or simply encouraged your children each day, your contribution plays a significant role in making our school such a vibrant and connected place. We are incredibly fortunate to be part of a community that continually gets behind the school and supports what we do.
As we head into the holidays, I hope everyone takes the opportunity to rest, recharge and spend quality time with family and friends. We have plenty to look forward to in Term 3, including our school camps, sleepovers and breakfasts!
Finally, with the FIFA World Cup in full swing, best of luck to the Socceroos as they continue their campaign. We'll be cheering them on from Anglesea on Friday!

As our final day for Term 2 aligns with the Socceroos match again Paraguay, our Student Voice Leaders have nominated Friday to be a casual day with a World Cup theme in attire. Please wear your World Cup colours for the team your child supports.
Swimming program
We are incredibly excited to announce that all students at Anglesea Primary School will participate in a five-day swimming instruction program this year.
What makes this opportunity even more special is that the program has been fully funded through the generosity of our school community, with funds raised through our Village Fair. Thanks to the incredible support of our families, volunteers, sponsors and wider community, there will be no cost to families for students to participate.
This program represents a significant milestone for our school. To the best of our knowledge, it will be the first time in more than 20 years that Anglesea Primary School has been able to offer a comprehensive swimming instruction program for all our students.
Given our unique coastal location, swimming and water safety are vital life skills, and we are thrilled to provide students with this opportunity to build confidence, develop their skills and improve their understanding of water safety.
The program will cater for students of all abilities, from those developing confidence in the water through to stronger swimmers looking to further refine their technique.
This is a wonderful example of what can be achieved when a community comes together, this time in the form of our Village Fair.
Our Swimming program will be completed at two separate locations and more details will be provided early next term.

In Term 4, we will continue to complete a revised Beach Safety and Awareness Program, to ensure students move into the summer holidays with a new level of confidence and technique.
Classroom Walls Update
Throughout 2026, School Council has been working towards the installation of permanent walls within both our Year 1/2 and Year 3/4 learning spaces. We have been eager to see these projects completed as soon as possible, while also ensuring the work is undertaken with minimal disruption to student learning.
Our original goal was for construction to be completed during the Term 2 holidays. Unfortunately, due to delays in the arrival of building materials and components, we have had to accept that this timeline is no longer achievable. The project is now scheduled to commence during the Term 3 holidays.
While we understand this may be disappointing news, the additional 12 weeks will provide certainty that all materials are on site and ready, helping to avoid interruptions, additional costs, or delays once construction begins. We appreciate the patience and understanding of our school community as we work towards delivering this important improvement.
Rest assured, the walls are coming! There is no one more excited about seeing these projects completed than our teachers, who are looking forward to the benefits these spaces will provide for teaching and learning for many years to come.
Late arrivals / Early departures
A reminder for Term 3 for all families that any student arriving after the morning bell must report to the front school office before going to their classroom. Students will then be issued with a late arrival slip to take to their teacher. This process ensures that attendance records are accurate and that students are not incorrectly marked absent if they arrive after the bell.
Coerver Coaching: Term 3
We are excited to welcome Coerver Coaching to Anglesea Primary School, commencing next term as part of a new Thursday afternoon program. Recognised as the world's leading soccer skills teaching method, Coerver Coaching provides students with an opportunity to develop confidence, coordination, teamwork and a love of the game in a fun and engaging environment.
To help make the program sustainable into the future, sessions will commence at 4:00pm, allowing students from other local schools to also participate. A key aim of introducing this program is to provide an after-school option for families who require support beyond school hours, while also creating a vibrant sporting opportunity for children across our community. Foundation 2027 Enrolments OPEN
If you have a child or know of a child starting school next year, please forward the enrolment form ASAP together with birth certiicate and immunisation certificate by the end of July. You will find enrolments forms on our website or can request through the front office.

We're excited to announce that Anglesea Primary School has a brand-new website!
While the web address remains exactly the same, the site has been completely refreshed with a modern look, improved navigation and easier access to important information for families and the wider community.

Is it Cake? Art Display
This term Grade 5/6 students have engaged in an “Is it cake” art project, creating ultra realistic slices of cake.
All families are welcome to come and attend our final presentation which will be held in the Art room on Wednesday the 24th of June at 3.15PM-3:45PM. Your challenge is to spot the real cake amongst the fake.
