Class Information

PUPIL OF THE WEEK
Each week, all Foundation classes will celebrate one student from each class who is their Pupil of the Week. Congratulations to the following students:

PREP AND YEAR 5 BUDDIES MASS
On the 19th of June, we will have our Prep and Year 5 Buddies Mass beginning at 9.15 in the Church. Families are most welcome to come along and celebrate with us.
FOUNDATION LEARNING FOCUS
Literacy
Students are learning about:
- The letters and sounds ‘l’ ‘k’ ‘b’ ‘u’
- Reading and writing CVC words and sentences
- Identifying words and letters
- Reading and writing tricky words 'he’ ‘she’ ‘me’ ‘be’ ‘we’ ‘has’ ‘were’ ‘look ‘one’
- While writing, the students are learning about reports and learning to use connector words.
Mathematics
Students are learning about:
- Part-whole- Combining, partitioning, part-part-whole, properties of addition, separation
- Shape- Identify, sort and describe shapes using their features.
ART ROOM
In the Art Room this week, our Foundation students explored characterisation through drama before using paint sticks to create these fabulous “inner self” masterpieces.
Meanwhile, our Year 3/4 students investigated symmetry, patterns, and warm and cool colours as inspiration for their stunning sun and moon artworks.
