Dear Sacred Heart Community,
Beginning Our Advent Journey
This Sunday marks the beginning of Advent, a special season of waiting and hopeful expectation as we prepare our hearts for the coming of Jesus at Christmas. In the busyness of the final weeks of the school year, Advent invites us to pause, to notice God’s presence in the small moments of kindness around us, and to reflect on the gifts of hope, peace, joy and love that we are called to share with one another. As a community, we take this time to look forward with gratitude and anticipation, remembering that Christ is with us in every moment.
Advent Prayer
Loving God,
As we begin this season of Advent,
open our hearts to Your light and Your hope.
Help us to slow down, to listen, and to make room
for Jesus in our lives.
Bless our students, families, and staff with peace during this busy time of year.
Guide us to show kindness, patience and generosity,
especially to those who need it most.
May this season fill our school with joy,
and may we walk together in love as we prepare for the celebration of Christmas.
Amen
Some of Our 2026 Foundation Students
Cettina and her helpers have once again been very busy, and will continue to be over the coming weeks, as our beautiful new Foundation students for 2026 are fitted into their very first school uniforms. As you’ll see in the photos we’ll be sharing, there is so much joy and excitement as our newest learners try on their uniforms for the first time. It’s a special milestone for our children and their families, and we feel privileged to share in these moments with them.
Hair With Heart - Chloe David
Chloe in Year 4 has been preparing all year to donate her hair to support children experiencing medical hair loss. Her hair is now long enough to be snipped and donated to help create a wig for a child in need. Her kindness and dedication have truly inspired our community.
To support Chloe’s fundraising, icy poles will be sold at recess on Friday 28th November and Friday 5th December for $1, with all proceeds going to Hair with Heart.
Chloe will have her hair snipped at the School Student Assembly on Monday 8th December at 11:40 am, where she will share her motivations. Families are warmly invited to attend.
To donate directly, please visit: Chloe's fundraising page - Chloe
Thank you for supporting Chloe’s incredible effort. You are a star, Chloe! ⭐
Christmas Carols
Helper's Morning Tea
We would like to acknowledge and thank all the parents and families who have generously supported our school throughout the year; whether through the School Board, Parents and Friends initiatives, working bees, classroom help, or assistance on excursions. Your involvement makes a wonderful difference in the life of our school.
To show our appreciation, a special morning tea will be held on Tuesday 16th December at 11:00 am.
Wishing everyone a lovely week!
Warmest wishes,
Antoniette
