At Assembly we got a sneak peak at the beautiful pictures that will grace the front and back covers of next year’s Junior School diaries. Students did an amazing job depicting the theme of College opportunities.
Congratulations to Clementine, Jasper, Amina and Penelope whose artwork will be used for the covers of the 2026 College diaries.
The House Public Speaking Cup was presented to Young House, with Adelaide taking out the final. She was very animated and convincing with her presentation of “Cats are better than dogs”.
This year’s Nativity performance took place in front of a packed church. It was a joyful celebration of our Junior School community, brought to life by students from Piccino to Year 2.
Our Piccino children shone brightly as sweet little angels, filling the stage with warmth and wonder. The Prep students delighted the audience as the stable animals, while Year 1 students stepped confidently into their roles as the key Nativity characters. Our two soloists Evie and Lydia sang beautifully. Guiding the performance were our Year 2 narrators, who spoke clearly and confidently, helping to weave the scenes together with poise and expression. Together, the children created a heartfelt retelling of the Nativity, sharing the true spirit of Christmas with us. Joining them to sing the last two songs was a lovely way to finish, leading us into the festive season.
Our Junior School Piano Concert was a wonderful celebration of musical talent, confidence, and growth. Students from Prep through to Year 6 took to the stage, each sharing a piece they had been practicing. It was inspiring to see such a wide range of ages and abilities perform, from our youngest beginners proudly playing their first melodies to our more experienced students demonstrating developing technique, expression, and musical maturity. The supportive atmosphere created by families, staff, and peers helped each performer feel valued and celebrated. Thank you to Mrs Salt for guiding the students with her dedication and care. She was incredibly proud of the efforts of all the performers.
Our Year 6 Graduation Dinner was a wonderful celebration of friendship, growth, and the journey our students have taken throughout their primary years. It provided a special opportunity for our Year Six students to come together and reflect on the memories, challenges, and achievements that have shaped their time at school. We congratulate our Year Six students on reaching this milestone and thank them for the leadership, enthusiasm, and spirit they have brought to our school. We wish them every success as they begin their secondary school journey.
I would like to congratulate Mr Hawthorne on a wonderful year with this group of students, preparing them for what lies ahead.
Thank you to Joshua and his team for the delicious meal and to our senior students, Poppy, Isabelle, Daisy, Isla, Billie and Elsie for giving up their time to wait on us.
It was also an opportunity to farewell our departing families. Some have only been with us a short time while others have been here since ELC and with older siblings before them. Together they have given countless hours to the Junior School and we can’t thank them enough for their contribution to the school over the years.
