Ascent 2025: Celebrating Young Creativity

CS Gallery is hosting Ascent 2025, an inspiring exhibition featuring the City of Melton’s most talented young creatives. Showcasing works by Year 10 students across drawing, painting, ceramics, mixed media, and photography, this event highlights the ingenuity and unique perspectives of emerging artists in our community.

Ascent offers students valuable arts industry experience and encourages pathways into future studies and careers in the creative sector. More than an exhibition, it’s a platform that uplifts and amplifies young voices, celebrating their creativity and innovation.

The details of the two exhibitions MSS students are below:

EXHIBITION 1:

Welcome to Our New Whole School Food Program Chef!

Welcome to Our New Whole School Food Program Chef!

We are excited to welcome Simone (Sim), our new chef for the Whole School Food Program.

Gallery Image

Simone brings over 20 years of experience as a chef, head chef, and owner of a cooking school. He has spent 10 years working in school kitchens, supporting students to learn practical cooking skills in a safe and engaging way. He also has experience in community programs and school operations, giving him a strong understanding of how schools work.

Outside of school, Simone enjoys swimming and kayaking. He is excited to join our school community!

What our Whole School Food Program looks like…

Breakfast Club

Available every morning for all students. It provides a calm, supported start to the day and helps students build independence and feel part of the school community.

Daily Snack Program (10am)

Runs in every classroom each day. Students are supported to try fresh fruit and vegetables at their own pace, follow routines, and work on their IEP goals

Lunch Club

Currently offered to referred students and classes. We will be looking to expand Lunch Club in 2026 so more students can participate.

We are looking forward to a great year ahead with Sim leading a strong Whole School Food Program in 2026!
