Add them all up and Kenny was awarded the Nina Carr Shield for 2025. It was accepted by the 2026 Kenny House Captains, Tia Fothergill and Madi McWilliam.
Public Speaking
The Year 7 to 10 Public Speaking competition were held early in Term 4. At last the winners could be acknowledged. Trudie Miller (Year 11) introduced the presentations.
Tradition!
For many students, their greatest fears may include atar release days like today, forgetting their container for food tech or perhaps public speaking. During the year we aim to overcome this fear through MGSC’s annual public speaking event, that takes place from Year 7-10. It’s tradition.
This year all students grappled with important topics: from socks to the relevance of fast fashion.
All students composed orations and delivered punctuated speeches, creating a chorus of student voices rich in diversity and confidence.
The event is not only important because our students speak, but also because we all listen and grow as a school community.
In term 4, each cohort gathered for the top ten speakers.
We are here to announce the winners of each year level and the other students who crafted and created memorable, thought-provoking works.
Thus I invite the following students to come up and receive a prize for the most outstanding voice and to the runners up who also struck a chord.
