Year 6 Transition Days

Gallery Image

Our year 6 students have their transition days happening over the next couple of weeks, where they will be spending some time (usually a full day) at their chosen secondary school. This assists them to prepare for moving on from primary school and provides them with an opportunity to get a head start on understanding the different challenges that attending high school brings. It is an exciting time, and we wish all of our students the best on these days and look forward to hearing all about it when you return!

Supporting Students' Transitions into 2026

As we approach the end of the school year, it's important to help students feel confident and prepared for the new challenges that come with transitioning into a new grade. This time can be filled with excitement but also uncertainty for some children. Here are a few tips for families to support smooth transitions:

Talk About Change: Encourage open conversations about the upcoming year. Ask your child how they are feeling about moving up to a new grade and discuss any concerns they may have.

Routine and Preparation: Begin discussing how routines might look different next year and how to establish good habits early on. Your child will have a new teacher or be in a new space, start building excitement for these changes.

Social Stories and Support: For children who may need extra support, especially those with additional learning needs, social stories can help them understand what to expect. Our school offers transition support plans to help students adjust, and we're here to assist with any concerns.

By working together, we can ensure that all students have a positive and successful transition into the new year.

FLASHBACK!

Year 12 Graduating Students in Prep🎓

This year marks a special milestone for our 2013 classes, who have now officially finished Year 12! As many of our former students celebrate the end of their final exams, we’re taking a moment to look back in time.

Congratulations to all of our past students on reaching this exciting chapter. We wish you every success in your future endeavours and hope you look back on your primary school days with fond memories.

Well done, Class of 2025!
