PE News

As always it has been a busy term in PE and interschool sports. We started with the Wales Street Cross Country, all our gr 4-6 students participated on the ‘Wales Street track’, demonstrating determination throughout the event. From this we had 48 students go through to the Northcote District Cross Country race, at Bundoora park. The tougher track and high level of competition brought out the best in each of our students and we were then able to send 7 students to Division Cross Country and 6 of those students then went onto represent Wales Street at the Regional competition. Congratulations to all students who put in their best effort and made it through!
Our grade 6 students recently participated in the Northcote District Gala day. Students trained throughout term 2 for either Soccer, AFL 9s or Netball. Each team did a great job improving and developing new skills. The day was filled with smiles and hard work from each student. A big thank you goes out to all our staff and parent coaches who spent the day scoring, running substitutions, timing matches and giving high 5’s!
Congratulations to our Girls no. 2 soccer team who won their grand final and will go on to the Darebin Division comp Wed 22 July (week 2, term 3).
