The Law Society’s Mock Trial Competition 2024

We are thrilled to announce that both of our College's mock trial teams emerged victorious in the final round of the Law Society's Mock Trial Competition 2024, held last Thursday at the Supreme Court of Western Australia.

The competition took place in Courtroom 3, one of the premier courtrooms at the Supreme Court, setting the stage for an exceptional performance. Our team, Eddie Rice Legal 2, rose to the occasion and delivered a stellar defence. They successfully argued that the plaintiff was 90% responsible for his injuries due to intoxication; a performance that earned praise from the presiding judge.

A special thank you goes to our dedicated mentor lawyer, Jacqui Brown, from Lynn & Brown Lawyers. Jacqui has generously volunteered her time and expertise to guide our team, and her invaluable support has been instrumental in our success.
