Principal's Message
Mrs Josie Crisara
This semester has seen many highlights, including achievements made by students, staff, and parents.
Students have been working hard, and the continuous feedback received should lead to further improvement and goal setting. The end-of-semester summary reports should be a vehicle to discuss goal setting for Semester Two. The implementation of AIMS as our new learning management system has improved learning experiences and provided timely information to parents. Further enhancements will be coming. I would like to thank all our staff who have worked diligently, and we acknowledge their dedication and commitment to our students.
Research shows that students who engage in a broad range of activities do better academically and socially. The College remains committed to fostering a strong sense of community among students. Various social and extracurricular activities, such as sports activities, subject competitions, music and performing arts events, sustainability and STEM activities, and the many clubs in which students can participate, not only promote holistic development but also showcase the diverse talents of our student body.
Progress continues on the construction of the P-2 building. Activities aimed at providing a contemporary environment for teaching and learning.
We value the ongoing support and involvement of parents in our school community. Their partnership is integral to the success of our students, educational initiatives and programs.
As the semester concludes, we remain focused on continuous improvement and innovation. We are committed to nurturing the academic, social, and personal growth of every student at Aitken College. I wish all staff, students, and families a restful mid-year break.
