5/6 Gala Day

Gala Day Report

Northcote soccer teams

The Gala Day on the 14th of June was one of the best ever. There were three boys/mixed teams with 9 players each. We played at Barling Reserve and each team played 4 games. The other teams were very good and the Northcote teams only had a few wins but altogether we all had fun.

Northcote 1 soccer team won their first game, second game tied, and the third game was 1-nil. Northcote won, and the fourth game tied. Overall they won 2 games.

Northcote 2 soccer team tied the first game 0-0, second 1-0 Northcote loss, third 1-0 loss, fourth tied. Overall they won zero games.

Northcote 3 lost the first game, tied the second game, third game loss, fourth game loss.

Overall they won zero games.

We also had two teams in the girl’s competition. While neither team won a game, the camaraderie and enjoyment was plain to see. All the games were played with great spirit and positivity. It was also great to see leadership shown by certain players, resilience shown by those with minor injuries, and fairness and commitment shown by everyone.

Once again, NPS students demonstrated our school values when away from school – Respect, Collaboration and Community-mindedness. Well done everyone! Thanks to Dale for organising the day, the teachers for coaching us and the parents for supporting us on the day.

Netball Report

The girl’s netball team won all their matches, but they unfortunately lost a close final to Holy Spirit.

Team 1 of the boys/mixed won three out of four games and team 2 won one out of four games. In total we won 4 games.

Everyone had a great time and thanks to our teachers and parent helpers for taking us.Here are some highlights from Gala Day.
