Term 2 done and dusted!

Except for today with the athletics carnival to finish off the term with a bang! We will have a full report in the first Newsletter of next term with all the ins and outs of the day. So, stay tuned.

Just a quick thanks before the holidays to all those who have contributed to setting up for the carnival. It truly is a team event, and the staff of St Joseph’s are truly grateful for the help and dedication of our parent body. So, Thank you!

Last Friday the 28th of June the whole school travelled to Tamworth to participate in a Hockey training session on the actual turf that the professionals play on. Students participated in arrange of warm-up activities and then some skills and drills followed by modified games. Hockey NSW donated us a Sausage Sizzle and Super Dooper to finish off the session. We are very grateful for the opportunity from the sporting schools grant and Hockey NSW.

Also we can’t thank Sue enough for her energy and enthusiasm to have facilitated this terms sport of Hockey with a great finale. We would also like to thank Sue’s husband for cooking the BBQ and Greg Dooley who came and helped run the final sessions. I believe it was a fabulous day had by all the students and they can now add a new skill to their list.

Congratulations to Makenna Griffiths and Angus Johnson who participated yesterday, Thursday the 4th of July, in the Toni Palmer Memorial Shield in Inverell. The students

played very well and represented our school with enthusiasm and good sportsmanship!

Have a great holiday everyone. Rest Up and Stay warm!

Food for thought -

"Our physical, emotional, and spiritual health requires rest. We need to take a break. We need to nurture ourselves. To take a time out to refuel, rejuvenate, and revive ourselves"
