Cultural Immersion

The students in cultural class this week have made journey sticks which they searched for and found themselves. They've attached natural things they have found that they feel a connection to. 

We have also worked on some songs in language and decorations for NAIDOC celebrations on Thursday 4th of July.

On Wednesday 2/3 learned about some local native plants and got to see them first hand and have a good look. They were able to taste saltbush, grass tree and those who were brave enough tried a Bardi grub. 

We have had a busy week preparing for NAIDOC celebrations. We were so lucky to have two elders attending this year.
