String Ensemble

St Martha's String Ensemble travelled by bus to Marist College Eastwood to perform a song called 'Danish Dance' as part of the Sydney Catholic Schools Eisteddfod. Mr Brian Simm, our tutor and conductor travelled with us. He helped us to practice and perfect our piece. 

We won by one single point. St Martha's got a total of 96 points out of 100, while the other two teams each got a total of 95 points. Our 'Danish Dance' won us the Eisteddfod trophy, which now sits proudly in the front office.

The standard of the performances was very high and we were excited and delighted to take away the trophy.  Our parents were very proud of our success.
