District Swimming - In week 2 of term 1, we held our School Swimming trials at Aquanation. In order to compete at District Swimming, students were required to meet qualifying times in the different swimming events.

On Monday 26th February, we had 18 swimmers compete in the Ringwood District Swimming Carnival at Tintern Swimming Pool. This year, our Ringwood District is made up of 8 schools from Government and Private schools in the local area. These schools include; Tintern Grammar, Tinternvale, Warranwood, Dorset, Sacred Heart, Holy Spirit and Ringwood North.

The POPS Swimming team was up against some quality swimmers from our District. I am extremely proud of the students' achievements, their effort and determination and the way they demonstrated our POPS values. We had some excellent individual and relay results but unfortunately only the fastest time from all heats (1st place overall) progressed to Division Swimming.

A huge congratulations to Luca S and Sebastian Y who placed 1st overall in their individual events and to our 11yo Boys Freestyle relay team who also placed 1st overall. These students will now compete at Division Swimming on the 6th March at Aquanation. Best of luck!

I would like to take this opportunity to thank our parent helpers; Mrs Stevenson and Mrs Yates who assisted both at our school swimming trials and at District. Also thank you to all the amazing parents who came to support their child through the swimming season.

Thank you!
