International Women's Day

A couple weeks ago, on the 8th March we celebrated International Women's Day!

Lunchtime was filled with exciting activities that allowed students and teachers to have fun and celebrate an important day.

One of the highlights of the day was the friendly yet competitive basketball game between our dedicated teachers and students. The court echoed with cheers and applause as both teams showcased their skills and sportsmanship.

A big congratulations to the teachers who trained very hard and won!!

In addition to the basketball game, a creative arts and crafts activity was held in BU.11. Students had the opportunity to enjoy a peaceful colouring session inside working with an array of beautiful International Women’s Day themed artwork.

This wonderful day reminds us of the importance of supporting and uplifting each other, regardless of gender, and recognising the diverse talents and contributions of everyone in our school.

Big thanks to the teachers who helped organise and supervise on the day!!

(The library also had a fantastic display and trivia contest that you can read more about in 'Outside the Classroom'!)

Leadership Camp

Of the three activities in leadership camp I enjoyed the giant swing most. It involved teamwork to lift the person up, and also confidence to go to the top. The campfire on the first night was fun as we played a game called psychologist. Puffing Billy was a fun activity.

Leadership Camp was such a wonderful and thrilling experience. My favourite moment at camp was hanging out with my friends because they always made me laugh. When on the giant swing I learnt about how to trust others. A funny moment was when Jaan told us to stop singing on the bus. Overall, Leadership Camp was such a fun and amazing experience that I would always do again if I got the chance.
