See ya later...

Goodbye… For now
Well this has certainly crept up on me and to be brutally honest, I didn’t actually ever think this would be an article I would be writing to share with everyone.
I started at TPS in 2018 and quickly knew I had made a great decision as to which way my career was going to head. The students’ were welcoming, the staff were welcoming and the community were welcoming. And none of those things have changed in my time here!
The community aspect of this school is such a strong and positive one. The ability to one day be down utlilising the lawn bowls facilities, to the next heading over to the Aged Care playing board games and then off around town to check out the Hay Bale Trail is something that I have never been a part of previously.
This place is truly unique and one which leaves me with some incredible memories and friendships.
As a teacher, this school has provided me with the opportunity to develop my skills in the classroom, along with enabling me to step further into Leadership roles and enhance these skills also.
When I broke the news to staff that I had secured another teaching position, I was very clear in explaining that the people in this place are what have kept me here as long as I’ve been around. I’ve loved coming to work every day and feel extremely privileged that this has been the case.
The decision for me to move on is purely due to the opportunity to be closer to home and be available more often to my own kids. The role I have taken on will certainly provide me with a new challenge, not unlike what I got when I started here.
I’m extremely grateful that Tongala Primary School has been a big part of my journey and I only have positives to share about my time here.
So for now it is goodbye, but I know that I will certainly continue to see many of you around and look forward to visiting again when I get the chance.
Thanks everyone!
Dylan
