Year 7 Camp

On Thursday afternoon our Student Mission Team and Year 7 Student Engagement Liaisons headed to Phillip Island Adventure Resort to spend some time getting to know our new Year 7 cohort.  After dinner, the students enjoyed getting to know our students and sharing with them their leadership journeys. They then sat with each homeroom and were a support to them as they voted for their class captains. As the sun began to set, we ventured out to the lake for our Sunset Liturgy. This was a nice time to prayer together, the theme being Friendship.  The night ended with a fantastic trivia night put together by our student leaders.  Overall, a well-worth trip and a wonderful opportunity of peer relationships to be built between our leaders and our Year 7s.  Up early the next morning and back to school in time for excursions and SAC revision classes - Our leaders definitely have their priorities sorted, which is great to see. Thanks to Mr Scott Blencowe for driving us in the minibus!

Lenten Prayer

Loving Creator of mine, I feel the pace quicken, the time draws near. I am filled with joy as I move toward Easter and the promised reconciliation with you. Teach me to follow the example of your Son, to be worthy of being called one of his people: a Christian. Help me to live each day as he did turning hatred to love and conflict to peace. I await the new life with eagerness, faith and a deep gratitude.
