Investiture Assembly

On the 13th February, GSSC held its 2024 Investiture Assembly to induct a new student leadership team into the college community. The assembly served as a platform to recognize and honour the outstanding achievements of the College Captains, house Captains, Multicultural, Music, Values, First Nation and Environmental Leaders.

The College Captains, up hold the values of Aspiration, Integrity, Respect, and Responsibility. Their role carries the responsibility of steering the college community towards excellence, fostering a positive environment, and inspiring their peers to reach new heights.

House Captains play a crucial role in creating a sense of belonging and camaraderie within the college's house system. These leaders are entrusted with promoting healthy competition, teamwork, and creating an environment where every student feels valued and supported.

The Multicultural Leaders promote the importance of embracing diversity and creating cultural understanding within the college community. Their dedication to an inclusive environment allows students from various backgrounds to feel welcome and appreciated.

The Music Leaders add a harmonious touch to the leadership team, using their passion for music to enhance the artistic side of the college. Whether through performances, workshops, or events, these leaders contribute to the creative atmosphere.

The Values Leaders are committed to upholding the values of the college, they play a  role in shaping the moral compass of the college community. Through their actions and initiatives, the Values Leaders inspire a culture of a Aspiration, Integrity, Respect and Responsibility. 

The First Nation Leaders, ensure inclusion and growth within the college's indigenous community. Committed to recognizing and celebrating the perspectives and contributions of First Nations students. The First Nations Leaders actively work to create an environment where students feel heard, valued, and respected. 

The Environmental Leaders are passionately committed to ensuring the college has a positive impact on Earth.  Through initiatives, education, and hands-on projects, they inspire their peers to embrace sustainable practices. Their efforts remind us all that caring for our planet is not just a choice but a shared responsibility for generations to come.
