Supporting the learning environment

In an effort to reduce disruptions to learning, we kindly request that parents/carers do not enter the classrooms whilst in session.

All parents/carers/visitors who visit during school hours are required to report to the school office upon entering school grounds. This includes when students arrive late, are picked-up early, dropping off items of clothing/lunches/bags, etc.  The staff in the school office will contact the teacher/student on your behalf, if required.

Daily school schedule
9.00am – 10.40am Session One and Two
10.40am – 11.25am Intervallo – Snack Break
11.25am – 1.05pm Session Three and Four
1.05pm – 1.50pm  Pranzo - Lunch Break

Volunteering at SKIPPS

All volunteers are required to have a valid Working With Children Check (WWCC).

Apply for a free Volunteer WWCC at:

Working with Children Check | vic.gov.au (www.vic.gov.au)

Before your first volunteer session at SKIPPS, please ensure you present your WWCC card to the School Office for verification.  Volunteers are also required to watch the following Parent Helper Induction session, available on the school website under Community, School documents, and review the Child Safe Code of Conduct Policy.

Extra Curricular Activities

At SKiPPS we are excited to provide lots of opportunities for students beyond the classroom to explore and develop their skills and passions. Some of these are offered by our school staff, some by our parent community and others by external providers. Below we have tried to collate all of the opportunities in one place and encourage your child to get involved in 2024.

Make Port Phillip an even better place to live, work, and play

Plan for Port Phillip 2025-29

We’re developing a Plan for Port Phillip and need your input to create a plan based on the things that matter to you.

The Plan for Port Phillip will guide how we will serve our community over the next four years. The plan defines the projects and services we will deliver. The Plan for Port Phillip 2025-29 replaces the Council Plan 2021-31.

How can you help?

Share your ideas.

We’re checking in with you about the 10-year Community Vision and making sure it’s still relevant. We’re also asking what you think Council should prioritise.

Visit Have Your Say to join the conversation online, or chat to us at one of eight pop-up conversations in your neighbourhoods by 15 December.

Register your interest in the Community Panel

We're forming a Community Panel to provide additional advice and recommendations about the Plan for Port Phillip 2025-29. The panel of about 40 people will meet approximately three to four times for a total of up to 15 hours in February 2025.

Any member of the Port Phillip community can apply; whether you live, work, visit or study here. Help represent our diverse community.

Find out more and register your interest by 15 December.

Tell your community

The more people who contribute the better our plan will be. Please share this email and social media posts to your networks.

Making it easier to have your say

We're updating our Community Engagement Policy to improve how you can share feedback when Council decisions are being made that impact or interest you. Our current Community Engagement Policy is due to expire in 2025. We are collecting your input until 16 December.

Join the conversation online or have a chat at one of our pop-ups during November.
