TRIADS
You may have noticed the inclusion of 'triads' in our Term 1 Meeting Schedule. As per staff feedback from our 2024 Staff Survey which indicated little opportunity to engage in collegiate observation and staff's desire for more professional feedback, coaching will be reignited as part of our professional learning.
Tridads will provide a structure to ensure that everyone is involved.
Triads are professional learning groups designed to provide the following opportunities:
- Cross-Year level and curriculum observation
- Targeted feedback for individual goals
- Building professional trust and knowledge
The Growth Coaching approach resonates strongly with the messages shared by David Anderson on our curriculum day:
The coaching process is very simple, as outlined below, using the Growth Coaching model. Many will also be familiar with the Learning Talk strategies that were part of professional learning both with David and in PL sessions last year. These Learning Talk strategies will provide an outline to enrich conversations.
When having coaching conversations, please make use of the GROWTH coaching conversation template.

French Teachers and Assistantes
As communicated last year, the Friend-O-Cycle and Friend-O-Meter have been translated and approved for use by URSTRONG! (Thanks again to Marilyne, Marie-Noelle and Edwige for helping with this long process).
You can find the PDFs here. Please print and use to your heart's content.
Handwriting
With our current emphasis on handwriting, a Font Package has been purchased which can be installed onto staff laptops. This provides the opportunity for us to create resources using the Victorian Handwriting fonts, including options for cursive and dotted thirds.
Please see examples of (some of) what is possible below and download the package here to install on your device.
If you have any challenges with this process, please see Simeon (Thanks in advance, Sim!)
