2025 Grade Placements
On Monday next week the students will be introduced to their teacher and class for 2025.
The staff have taken feedback from students and parents, and used their own knowledge of the students to place them in the best possible grade for 2025.
Every student has been placed in a grade with at least one friend they work well with and know well. As you can imagine the teachers have poured many long hours into the careful construction of these grade lists. We have many competing requests that we have balanced for the best possible placement of all students.
If your child comes home on Monday expressing any concerns please be assurred that every student has at least one friend they know well in their new grade. It may not be their absolute best friend, and this is where you can assist them to develop resilience and learn to expand their friendship group, which is essential for their ongoing success. Encourage them to look at the people in their new grade and create connections with them. Reassure them that they can still play with other friends at recess and lunchtime. If you are positive about the new school year, so too your child will be.
Parent Association Thank you
Our Parent Association is an important team of parents who volunteer their time for the benefit of the whole school community. This year they have run several very successful events that have raised valuable funds for the school and supported our community to stay connected.
Thank you to all the parents involved for their support of our school community. I would also like to thank the school community for their support of the events run by the Parent Association.
School Council Thank You
The School Council's last meeting for 2024 was on Monday night. We had a number of new members join this year and we have some members leaving at the end of this year. I would like thank all members for their support and work on both the School Council and Committees.
This is the last newsletter for 2024 and I would like to wish all our families a very happy and safe holiday and New Year on behalf of the staff!
