Term 4 Week 11

Joke time!

What is every parent's favourite Christmas song?

Hello Everyone

Welcome to our last newsletter for 2024. We thought we would share our end-of-year speeches that we presented at our Graduation on Monday night with the community.

Ivy

Parents, families, teachers and the graduating class of 2024, I, Ivy Price would like to welcome you to our graduation ceremony this evening. We have had the privilege of being chosen to represent you as school captains this year.  Being a school captain has meant being the best role model  I can be to all students, working together as a team and ensuring that we act as the standard bearers of our school vision of being a community united by faith, hope, love and learning.

Cruz

I, Cruz Robotis,  have been honoured to have had the chance to be a voice for the students here at Our Lady’s Primary School. Along with Lesra, Ivy and Amelia, I have been proud to be able to share information about our school through the form of assemblies and newsletters to our community. Thank you to Mrs Glouftis for helping us to come up with many great ideas to improve our school. We enjoyed doing many fun things this year like, Bridge water behaviour bucks, funky Friday, assemblies and working with different teachers and students.  It has meant the absolute world to me to be able to be your school captain. I hope everyone strives for an amazing future throughout high school and you strive to shine your lights to the fullest!

Nobody loves leaving, bringing everything to an end and having to say goodbyes. Our Lady’s Primary School has been our second home for the past 7 years, where we have experienced highs and lows. Being your school captain has taught us to be more independent and not rely on teachers to tell us what to do.

We have learned how to work as a team and cooperate.

Throughout our journey at Our Lady’s, we have come to understand that life can be challenging but with the help of our peers, we can get through it and achieve great things.

Some of our memorable moments this year have included…

Raising money for Vinnies and Catholic Mission, collecting bread tags to go towards helping build wheelchairs and collecting containers for the 10c, where some of the money went to charity as well as helping our graduation ceremony tonight.

Thank you again for all of your support.

Amelia

As we gather here to celebrate our 7 years at OLPS, we want to thank everyone in the school who has supported us. First of all we want to thank all the staff we haven’t mentioned, specialist teachers, canteen ladies, office ladies, Nurses Lauren and Claudia, the cleaners, leadership and all the wonderful LSO’s. You have helped us so much over the years. We want to thank all of the students present and those who have left us along the way for being here and making so many awesome memories together. We will never forget these treasured memories like our School camps, 100 days of Prep, dressing up for Book Weeks, swimming at Splash, excursions to the zoo, Athletics Days, Feast Days, especially the ones with the Inflatable slides, Harry Potter Day in Year 4 and running the Mini Fete this year.

On behalf of the Year 6’s we want to thank our parents and families for making the decision to enrol us to Our Lady’s, taking us to and from school, making our lunches and watching us grow up and become the amazing people we are today.
