Term 4, Week 11
Dear Parents and Carers,
As we close out another school year I would like to thank our school community for their support in making our school a great place for our students to learn and flourish. This year has been filled with many great opportunities for our students and our families. I’d like to reflect on some of the great memories we have shared as a school community this year: our Mother’s Day and Father’s day Breakfast, Book Week, Athletics Day, Mini Fete, Crazy Sock day, Pj day, camps, excursions, incursions our Christmas Musical performance and Year 6 Graduation dinner. These events remind us of the wonderful school community we are part of and the joy it brings to our students.
Thank you to our remarkable parents who have generously given up their time and volunteered throughout the year whether it be in the canteen, attending excursions, athletics day, attending Friday assemblies and other special school events. Your support and dedication to our school is greatly appreciated.
A big thank you to our parents who assisted with our Icy pole Tuesday fundraiser for our Year 6 Graduation and with the Foultan and Hogan family BBQ event. We truly appreciate all that you do!
Our Christmas Performance this year was a huge success with over 800 parents and family members attending each session. It was great to see our students showcasing their talents. Special thanks to Mrs B who brought it all together and to all our amazing staff for their support.
Email from one of our parents: Really appreciate your hard work. You have done a splendid job! During the past 12 years we have been participating in the carols and last night we enjoyed a lot in a comfortable environment. The kids also did a great job under your supervision. They are really lucky to have you as their music teacher!!
Our first ever Year 6 Graduation dinner was a huge success. Thank you to all our students, staff and families who attended and contributed to making the evening so special for our students. It was wonderful to see our school community come together to celebrate this significant milestone for our students. Congratulations to our graduates—you’ve made us all incredibly proud!
Our end of year mass today was a beautiful and meaningful way to conclude the school year, bringing our community together in prayer and gratitude. It was a time to reflect on the many blessings of the year, celebrate our achievements, and give thanks for the growth and learning experienced by all. We acknowledge the tremendous amount of faith, hope, love and learning that has been present each and every day we have been together as a school community.
We congratulate Alex Hale for receiving the Jo Baird award. This is the 13th year that we have presented this award to a Year 5 student who always strives to do their best and treats others with respect.
