From the Principal

  Patrick Green

Dear Parents,

The end of the first full week and I have experienced a very warm welcome, thankyou.

Given I am starting to learn more about St Christopher's community and its people, I thought I'd share a little about myself.

I grew up in Glen Waverley myself, attending St Leonards and Mazenod College, so I am well familiar with the area. I have been in education as a teacher and leader for over 35 years. My experience crosses primary and secondary school settings, both as a teacher and leader.  St Christopher’s is the fourth school I have been Principal or Acting Principal for over the last decade or more, and most recently I worked at Melbourne Archdiocese Catholic Schools as part of the School Effectiveness team that supports the four regional offices and all schools.

On a personal note my wife Barbara and I have three sons who all went through catholic schools which we found to be a wonderful experience.  We have also been blessed with a delightful granddaughter as well!  I look forward to meeting more of you throughout the year and sharing in the many celebrations we will encounter.
