School Review Feedback

Thank you to the 30 families who took the time to contribute their thoughts during our school review feedback survey. Your feedback has been invaluable in helping us understand both what we are doing well and what areas could benefit from improvement. It is encouraging to see the aspects of our school that you feel should be celebrated and continued, as well as the suggestions for areas where we can grow and better serve our school community.

The review process is an important opportunity for reflection and growth, and your input has provided a foundation for this work. Starting in Week 3 of Term 1, we will begin the formal review process, and we are committed to keeping you informed. There will also be opportunities for parents to engage further through dedicated sessions organised by the reviewer.

We will provide additional information about these parent sessions early in Term 1, including how you can participate.

Teaching Excellence Program

Congratulations to Anthony Bortolot and Kirstie Hall on their acceptance into the Teaching Excellence Program (TEP) for 2025! This year-long professional learning initiative supports teachers in connecting with like-minded colleagues and enhancing their ability to deliver exceptional outcomes for students.

As part of the program, Anthony and Kirstie will focus on Literacy, analysing their teaching practices to deepen their expertise in Literacy. They will engage with evidence-informed research and apply their learning to meet the unique needs of their students. Through TEP, they will further develop their knowledge, capabilities, and confidence, enabling them to teach even more effectively at Macedon Primary School. We are looking forward to seeing the positive impact this program will have on our school community.

Graduation

On Thursday night, we will celebrate the Grade 6 Graduation, a special milestone for our students as they prepare to bid farewell to Macedon Primary School. I am excited to spend the evening with our Grade 6 students and their teachers, reflecting on their fantastic year and all they have achieved while they have been at Macedon Primary School.

This is a time to celebrate their hard work, resilience, and growth, as well as the memories they’ve created during their time here. As they move onto on the next chapter of their education, I wish them all the very best for a bright and successful future. Congratulations to the graduating class of 2024!

No School Assembly

Please note that there will be no assembly this week. Instead, students will be presented with their awards during class time. Thank you for your understanding!

Final School Assembly

We will be holding our final assembly for the year on Friday, 20th December, at 9:10 am. Parents are invited to join us as we celebrate the year and bid farewell to our Grade 6 students, departing staff members, and some of our families. It promises to be a meaningful occasion to reflect on our achievements and share in this special moment together. We hope to see you there!
