Our fortnightly focus has been:
Responsibility: Having the Right Equipment Ready
Being responsible means being prepared. When students bring the correct equipment to each lesson, they are setting themselves up for success. Having the right tools ready helps lessons start smoothly, reduces interruptions, and allows children to fully engage in their learning.
Learning to check schedules, pack bags, and look after belongings are important life skills that begin in primary school. These small habits build independence, confidence, and a sense of pride in being organised. When students are prepared, they feel calmer, more capable, and ready to give their best effort.
Families can support this by encouraging children to pack their bags each night, help make lunches, nightly reading, creating a homework schedule and take responsibility for their own equipment. Together, we can help our students develop strong organisational skills that will benefit them both now and into the future.
