Homework
We require students to have access to a device to retrieve our weekly homework slides on Google Classrooms. Students will receive a username and password to log in and access the homework.
Please be patient in this space as we have to teach the Year Threes how to access the slide presentations. If there are any questions, email your classroom teacher and we will make time to assist you in this learning space. We aim to have this digitally ready by Week 5.
Most weeks Year 3/4 homework will consist of 4 components:
- Spelling – A minimum of 3 spelling activities must be completed every week.
- Mathematics - This will be set throughout the course of the year. At times it will be related to work completed in class and at other times it will be Timestables Rocks, which is an online program that the students will be given access to.
Reading – All children are required to read 5 nights a week for at least 15 - 20 minutes.
This must be recorded in their diary with the book title and the page numbers read example:
- ‘13 Story Treehouse’ pgs 1-25.
‘13 Story Treehouse’: pgs 26-50.
Children must bring their diary to school every day to be checked and signed by an adult.
At different times throughout the year, the children will be given a project to complete over a 2-3 weeks. At this time, there will be changes to the homework format.
