Welcome Back

Welcome back students, staff, and parents/guardians. I hope everyone has experienced an enjoyable summer break. Our staff are prepared for the year ahead, and we are excited to provide learning environments where students can showcase their strengths, grow in new areas, and tackle challenges.

School Wide Positive Behaviour Support

Our school continues to promote clear expectations that help all students understand how to contribute to calm, respectful, and focused learning environments.

During the first few weeks of Term 1, staff will work with students to co‑create Classroom Engagement Plans. These plans act as an agreement between teachers and students, outlining what an ideal learning environment looks like and the specific behaviours that support it. Our School Values underpin the types of actions and behaviours that the Classroom Engagement Plans are formed on.

Our School Values

Respect | Kindness | Confidence

These values guide how we learn, interact, and support each other every day.

Welcome BBQ

We look forward to welcoming all families at our annual Welcome BBQ on the 10th of February. This is a great opportunity for us to connect as a community and prepare together for the year ahead.

  • Leading Teacher (Inclusion): Sarah Laidlaw
  • Years 7 & 8: Josh Davies
  • Years 9 & 10: Jenny Farrington
  • Years 11 & 12: Shantelle Stimson

  • Awards: I provided some clarity to students on the awards ceremony.
    • Excellence awards are based on results in Learning Tasks
    • Endeavor awards are for a high average in Progress Reports
    • SWPBS awards are in recognition of positive chronicles
    • Attendance awards are for 95%+ school attendance
  • Middle School Electives: Requests for elective changes require a parent/guardian letter and a meeting with Ita Rose.
  • Expectations & Values: A reminder of our shared expectations for the year and the importance of Respect, Kindness, and Confidence in everything we do.
  • Year 12 Acknowledgement: We celebrated the Year 12 cohort as they begin their final year of schooling, acknowledging their journey and presenting them as role models for the school community.
