Enhancing Learning Spaces for Years 7 and 8
We gratefully acknowledge the support of the State Government through its contribution of $65,500 towards the upgrade of furniture for our Year 7 and 8 learning spaces.
The new furniture has allowed us to improve our flexible, collaborative, and engaging learning environments.
Designed to support a variety of teaching and learning approaches, the furniture enables students to work both independently and in small groups.
This investment has created welcoming and functional spaces that support high-quality teaching and learning experiences for our students. We thank the State Government for its contribution to this project and its support of improved learning opportunities for our students.
Veterans Day 2026
On Friday, 12th June, the Year 10 History class had the privilege of hearing from three Australian Vietnam War veterans: Ryk, Lloyd, and Barry. Our guests made an indelible mark on our students, for they did far more than just speak about history: they brought it to life.
Their stories about their involvement in the Vietnam War extended well beyond what can be found in textbooks or timelines. With honesty and even moments of humour, they shared their personal experiences. Through their reflections, students were reminded that history is not just something we study. It is lived by real people, shaped by genuine emotions, and strengthened through enduring friendships.
Listening to the veterans aided the Year 10s to foster meaningful connections with the veterans and their stories. The camaraderie they share, their deep pride in serving their country, and their enduring gratitude for life despite the challenges they faced left a lasting impression on everyone present.
I was very proud of the Year 10s for the exemplary manner in which they conducted themselves as hosts on the day, and for the way they embraced this unique learning opportunity.

Year 10 Guest Speaker and Business Expo
This week, the Year 10 Business students hosted a Business Expo, presenting their innovative business ideas from multifunctional phone case and futuristic water bottles, to trendy breakfast deliveries and shopping trolley trackers.
Working in teams, students pitched their concepts and showcased their marketing, financial, and operational planning skills.
In preparation for the Expo, students were fortunate to hear from entrepreneur Dion Do, founder of BuiltDiff Timepieces.
During his visit two weeks prior to the event, Dion shared his journey of building a successful business, providing students with valuable insights into entrepreneurship, branding, and the challenges of bringing an idea to market.
Students were then assessed by Year 11 and 12 Business students, a team of teachers, and Dion himself, who returned as a guest assessor to provide authentic industry feedback.
The event was a fantastic celebration of creativity and collaboration, leaving students with valuable lessons and meaningful memories.
