From the Principal

As we approach the final week of Term 2, I would like to encourage all students to remain focused, committed, and determined as they complete their final classes, assessments, and learning activities for the semester.
Whilst the upcoming holidays are certainly within sight, the final week of term remains an important opportunity for students to finish strongly and take pride in their efforts before enjoying a well-deserved break.
Following the conclusion of student classes, our staff will participate in Professional Development Week during Week 10. This dedicated week provides valuable opportunities for learning, reflection, collaboration, and planning as we continue to strengthen teaching and learning across the College.
Highlights of the week include a Spiritual Retreat led by our Ministry team, participation in Australia's Biggest Morning Tea, and attendance at the Connected Schools Conference and Worship Service on Wednesday afternoon.
Alongside these events, staff will engage in individual professional learning, faculty planning, and preparation for Semester 2. Professional Development Week is a significant part of the College calendar and one that many staff look forward to each year.
I am also pleased to provide an update regarding our ACER Scholarship testing.
Over the coming weeks, I will be contacting families whose children have been successful in securing a scholarship following the 2026 ACER Scholarship testing process. By the conclusion of the school holidays, all families who participated in the testing program will have received correspondence regarding the outcome.
Looking ahead to the holiday period, we are excited to be involved in the City of Salisbury's Lights at Mawson (Illuminate Festival), taking place from Friday 17 July to Sunday 19 July.
This year, our new Junior School building, currently under construction, will form part of the festival experience, showcasing artwork created by our Senior School students for the local community to enjoy.
It is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate student creativity while also sharing the exciting progress of our Junior School development with the wider community.
I wish all students, staff, and families a safe and enjoyable holiday break.
As always, I am grateful to be leading this wonderful community and thank you for your continued support.
Mr Richard Baird
