Ten of our cadets had the privilege to join with around 100 cadets and 18 staff from eight of the Battalion's ten units gathering at Puckapunyal Military Area for the first-ever 32Bn Battalion Super Weekend.
The two-day program was built around teamwork, challenge and growth, to tackle a packed training schedule. Saturday was devoted to hands-on fieldcraft, covering first aid under pressure, bush navigation, radio communications and CASEVAC drills, section-level patrolling, and orders planning using the SMEAC framework along with mud-map preparation.
That evening, cadets heard from three serving ADF members who shared their career journeys, including one presenter who was once a 32 Battalion cadet himself. The session sparked an engaged question-and-answer discussion. We were lucky enough to hear from Old Collegian CAPT Charlie Wright.

Sunday kept the energy high with competitive activities, Battle PT, weapons training simulator familiarisation, and a drill competition, reinforcing resilience, discipline and esprit de corps across the Battalion.
For the cadets involved, the weekend captured everything the Australian Army Cadets program stands for: building confidence, developing leadership, forming lasting friendships, and stepping outside comfort zones in a safe, supported setting.
