Welcome back to Term 2! It has been a very busy and productive start to the term. Our staff have been engaging in professional learning focused on effectively accommodating all students in the classroom, ensuring every learner is supported to achieve their best.
Students have already been active, with many participating in the LNPSSA Cross Country. It was fantastic to see such enthusiasm and effort, with a number of students progressing through to the next level—well done to all involved!
As the term begins, we are settling back into our regular school routines, with a strong focus on learning, consistency and positive engagement across all classrooms.
We also took time to acknowledge ANZAC Day, with a school ceremony as well as participation in the local community event. These opportunities are important in helping our students understand and reflect on the significance of this day.
A reminder that the Year 7 Information Night for 2027 will be held on Tuesday 5 May at Leeton High School. For more information see LHS page in this newsletter.
On Friday 8 May, we will be supporting Do It For Dolly Day. Students are invited to wear blue clothing, and a cupcake will be provided at recess. We are aiming to raise approximately $200 to donate to Dolly’s Dream and ask families, if possible, to contribute $5 on the day.
We will also be holding our Mother’s Day Stall at 11:10am under the COLA, with a variety of gifts available for students to purchase for their mums, grandmothers, or other special women in their lives. Following this, mothers, grandmothers and special women are warmly invited to attend our Mother’s Day Afternoon Tea, beginning at 2:00pm. Students will be preparing and sharing some afternoon tea as part of the celebration.
We would like to take this opportunity to remind families that our school uniform is an important part of our school community and is expected to be worn by all students each day.
Wearing the school uniform helps to promote a sense of belonging, pride and equality among our students. It also supports a focused learning environment and ensures students are easily identifiable and safe while at school and during excursions.
We understand that there may occasionally be circumstances where students are unable to wear the correct uniform. In these situations, we ask that a note is provided or that you contact the school so we can support your child as needed.
To assist families, we have included some photos below as a guide to the correct school uniform. If you have any questions or require support in accessing uniform items, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with the school.
We appreciate your support in helping all students present themselves with pride as members of our school community.
