CANDIDATE STATEMENTS
ABBY PYCROFT
With three children at Kyabram P-12 I endeavour to volunteer my time and enjoy being a part of sports days, excursions and stalls at school whenever possible.
I finished serving three years as president to my children's kindergarten in 2024 and am ready to continue my interest in the wellbeing, future and education of our children on council should I be elected.
I support and believe in our school values of respect, responsibility and community; and will uphold these values as a council member.
DELIA PHOMMATHET
My name is Delia, I’m a working mum who currently has two primary school students at Ky P-12 and have had two students finish year 12 already. I joined council two years ago as I wanted to do my part to ensure the best possible public education for my children and other regional kids. I have been school council secretary for the past 2 years and a parent representative on the education sub-committee.
As an engineer, I’ve worked across the renewable energy, water and manufacturing sectors doing everything from design and strategy development to environmental auditing and compliance. These roles have seen me collaborating with a broad range of people including contractors, farmers, maintenance teams and Boards, which has enriched my perspective and problem-solving skills.
I’m a dedicated parent helper at Little Athletics and Dillmac and passionate about environmental sustainability and advocating for women and girls in STEM.
ERIN RICHARDSON
Hi, I’m Erin Richardson, I live in Girgarre and am a mother to three wonderful children. I am currently a member of the Girgarre Development Group, in my spare time, I enjoy volunteering and participating in community-based activities, including our many music events throughout the year, helping to organise the local monthly market and of course volunteering my time at our wonderful Gargarro Nursery and Botanic Gardens. This year, I will be one of the participants completing the Loddon Murray Community Leadership Program.
Prior to moving to Girgarre, I was a nurse/disability support worker for children of any age or ability, I also worked for Kingswim, organising school swimming programs and working mainly with children with disabilities in the pool. I very much like to keep busy and organised, working with youth is still something I enjoy, which is why I love to help at the school for different events or excursions.
