Messages from the Principal

Term 1 has continued its fantastic start and I have been so impressed with the enthusiasm and positive energy that I've seen from our students in all year levels. Our initial 2-week 'Start Right Stay Right' program that aims to engage our students in teaching and learning routines has certainly set our students up for a very successful year. The calm and orderly environments that our students are learning within have been remarkable, and a testament to the hard work of our dedicated teachers.

I would like to extend a massive thank you to all the dedicated parents who came out and worked so hard at our recent working bee last weekend. We were blown away by your generosity of time and energy, and the incredible results you achieved in tending to our school grounds.

From weeding and pruning to cutting and sweeping, you have transformed our outdoor spaces into clean and welcoming areas for our students and community to enjoy. The gardens look vibrant, the play areas are refreshed, and the whole school feels brighter thanks to your hard work. Thank you! There will certainly be a large number of house points added to Aberdeen House for the end-of-the-year house winner announcement!

Thank You for a Wonderful Open Night! It was truly wonderful to see so many families come along to meet their children's teachers and learn more about what's happening in the classrooms at Newtown Primary School!

We know how busy everyone's lives are, and we deeply appreciate you taking the time to connect with us. The evening was a great success, and your enthusiasm and engagement made it all the more worthwhile.

We believe that strong communication between home and school is essential for student success, and your presence at our Open Night reinforces this partnership. These opportunities to connect face-to-face are so important in building relationships and fostering a supportive learning environment for our amazing students.

As we move further into the term, we have many more exciting events planned, including upcoming lightning premierships, our Cross Country, and the Annual Easter Raffle! Information regarding these events has been sent out via Compass with more information to be sent home shortly.

Finally, two VERY important reminders...
