SCHOOL FEE ACCOUNTS
We are in the process of issuing annual school fees account. These should arrive via email over the next few weeks, together with the information regarding the commencement of Direct Debit arrangements.
Should you have any queries regarding your school account, please contact our Finance Office at accounts@bhcs.vic.edu.au
As you may be aware, in the Victorian State Budget in May 2024, the Victorian Government announced that it would provide a $400 School Saving Bonus (SSB) to assist Victorian families struggling with the increased cost of living. This payment will be provided to all students from government schools and those students in non-government schools who are eligible in 2025 for Camps, Sports and Excursions Funding (CSEF).
The funding for SSB is very different in government schools compared to non-government schools like BHCS. Although there is information about the SSB being available now, the eligibility for the SSB is only confirmed in mid-2025 based on CSEF eligibility for 2025. We are therefore unable to pass on the SSB until eligibility in 2025 is confirmed. Submitting CSEF applications early is the best way to speed up access to the SSB.
The SSB cannot be used for tuition fees and cannot be passed onto parents directly. Therefore, BHCS will be allocating the SSB in mid-2025 as a credit against the Resources and Activities Levy, resulting in a reduction in the direct debit payments required in the second half of 2025. If you are eligible, you will be notified once your eligibility is confirmed and advised once the credit is applied to your account.
If you have any queries in relation to this, please do not hesitate to contact us at schoolfees@bhcs.vic.edu.au

TRAVEL CONVEYANCE ALLOWANCE 2025
The travel Conveyance Allowance is Government funding available to school families to subside the cost of travel to School by both bus and car. The eligibility criteria for the Conveyance Allowance is set by the Department of Education, including; you must be traveling further than 4.8km by the most practical route to get to and from School and you must be live closer to BHCS than to any other similar Schools, such as St Andrews in Wantirna South.
If circumstances remain unchanged from year to year, there is no need to reapply, however if the following changes have occurred it will be necessary for you to complete a new Application in order to qualify for ongoing Conveyance Allowance in 2025:-
- A change from car travel to bus travel, or vice versa
- Your family has moved and changed address
- You have a child who has commenced at BHCS in 2025 who was not listed on your previous Application
- New families to BHCS are encouraged to complete a form and submit their applications if they have not already done so
Payment of the funding is made directly to BHCS at the end of each term and is applied as a credit to families' school fee account.
If you have any queries or to obtain a copy of the necessary form(s) please email your request to schoolfees@bhcs.vic.edu.au by the end of February, 2025.
