WELCOME TO 2025
PETER CLIFFE (PRINCIPAL)
Welcome to a brand-new school year! It is with great excitement that I extend my warmest greetings to each of you as we embark on this journey of learning, growth, and achievement together. Whether you are returning to our school community after the break, or are one of the 96 new students and 54 new families joining BHCS for the first time, we are thrilled to have you as part of our family.
This year, we are especially excited to finally see the beginning of the construction of our new Senior Learning Centre. It has been a long journey to reach this point. You will start to see works commencing on the land on your left as you drive into school in the coming weeks.
As always, communication and collaboration are key to a successful school year. We encourage you to stay involved, whether it’s through attending parent-teacher interviews, volunteering, or simply staying in touch with your child’s progress. Together, we can create a supportive community that empowers every student to reach their full potential.
Thank you for your partnership, trust, and commitment to your child’s education. Let’s make this a year to remember, one filled with learning, laughter, and success as we continue to grow stronger together.
On another far sadder note, our heartfelt condolences go out to the Callow family at the passing of Annie Deslandes, a former staff member and a current parent within our BHCS community. Annie was a valued part of our school family, and her presence has left a lasting impact on all of us. We especially extend our prayers to Annie’s husband Dave Callow and their boys Oscar, Archie and Clancy who are all current students at BHCS.
The family draws comfort that Annie is now at peace, free of pain and in a better place. We kindly request that the privacy of the family be respected during this difficult time.
