Dear Brigidine Community,
Term 3 has been a vibrant journey, brimming with excitement, challenges, and, most importantly, remarkable success. Our Brigidine students have not only engaged deeply in their learning but have also embraced their extra-curricular activities with enthusiasm and spirit. Their unwavering support for one another exemplifies the strength of our community and inspires us all to reach greater heights together.
As we approach the term break, I encourage everyone to take this time to recharge and reflect on our accomplishments. Enjoy a well-deserved break, and let’s return ready to continue this journey of growth and achievement!
What an exciting time it is to celebrate our incredible Year 12 students, who have been a true blessing to our College community. Throughout their journey, they have embraced every aspect of College life, enthusiastically engaging in their learning and contributing to the spirit of community building here at Brigidine.
The Graduation events were a heartfelt tribute to this remarkable year group, and the Formal Dinner beautifully marked the culmination of their 13 years of formal schooling. Congratulations to our Year 12 students and their families!
As you move forward, may you cherish the legacy you have created at our beloved College. Always remember to shine a light on what it means to be a Brigidine girl—a girl who embodies strength and gentleness in all that she does.
As we approach this pivotal moment in their journey, let’s hold our Year 12 students in our thoughts and prayers as they prepare for their HSC exams. May they discover a sense of calm in their studies and unwavering confidence in their abilities. This is a defining chapter in their academic lives, and we have full faith in their potential to excel. Let’s rally around them with our encouragement and positivity, empowering them to rise to this challenge and shine brightly!
We are thrilled to announce the conclusion of the selection process for our 2025 Student Profile and House Captains, and what an inspiring journey it has been! I am incredibly proud of every applicant who stepped forward with the courage to pursue a leadership role. Their boldness truly reflects their strong character and commitment to making a meaningful impact within our College community and beyond.
It is with great excitement that I introduce our successful applicants to the Brigidine community:
Congratulations to all our new leaders! We are excited to see how you will inspire and guide our community in the year ahead. Let’s embrace this journey together and make 2025 a year filled with positivity and purpose!
What a vibrant and inspiring evening we had on Wednesday, September 4, as our Year 12 students brought their exceptional creative talents to life! Their HSC major works were nothing short of extraordinary, showcasing remarkable skills in drama, music, visual arts, and technology. From captivating performances and stunning visual displays to innovative designs, the evening highlighted the depth of creativity and imagination within our talented students.
It was a true celebration of their hard work and dedication, leaving everyone in attendance inspired by the incredible achievements on display. Congratulations to our Year 12 students for an unforgettable showcase of talent and artistry!
A special thanks must go to our dedicated staff—Kylie Little and Jessica Cranfield (Design & Technology), Tayla Whiteman (Drama), Jacqui Hanniffy and Jennifer Lau (Music), and Melissa Nutter (Visual Arts)—for their unwavering support and expertise in bringing these projects to fruition. Their commitment and expertise were invaluable in helping our students shine!
We also extend our gratitude to our talented Year 11 Hospitality students, who served a beautiful array of canapés for guests to enjoy while viewing the works. A big thank you to Ms Lucy Collins for coordinating this lovely addition to the evening!
A huge congratulations to our Junior and Intermediate Softball teams for their outstanding performance at the SCS Softball Gala Day! It was an incredible day marked by determination, teamwork, and impressive skills, especially from those who were learning the game on the fly. Our Intermediate Team proudly secured a well-deserved Silver Medal, reflecting their hard work and sportsmanship. Well done, girls!
What a fantastic triumph for our Hockey team at the SCS Hockey Gala Day! Congratulations to all our players for their grit, teamwork, and exceptional skill. Bringing home a well-earned Gold Medal showcases their dedication and sportsmanship. Great job, team!
We are thrilled to announce that in 2025, our community will welcome our new principal, Mr. Adrian Eussen. Adrian joins us from St. Scholastica's College in Glebe, where he has served as Assistant Principal for the past 13 years. His appointment has been met with great enthusiasm throughout our College, and it was a genuine pleasure to introduce him to our dedicated staff recently. We look forward to the positive impact he will bring to our College!
As we prepare to embark on our final term, Term 4, let’s embrace this time with enthusiasm and purpose! Use your term break as an opportunity to reflect on what you want to achieve in this upcoming term. This is our moment to showcase our talents and abilities as we strive to finish the year strong. Together, we can tackle the challenges ahead and celebrate our successes. Let’s inspire one another, push our limits, and make this term a remarkable conclusion to our year.
