On Wednesday 28th August, years 3 and 4 participated in the Stage 2 Soccer Gala Day at Edwards Park in Concord. The morning was filled with teamwork, sportsmanship and enthusiasm from students. It was wonderful to see active participation and encouragement from peer to peer, which is a great representation of our school sporting values. Well done to all the teams and a big thank you to the teachers and volunteers on the day.
The Sydney Catholic Schools Athletics Championships were held on Friday 30th August at Sydney Olympic Park Athletics Track in Homebush. Two students from St Francis Xavier were selected to compete at these championships. Congratulations to the following students:
Stella Micalizzi has been further selected to compete at the Mackillop Athletics Championships as part of the Sydney Catholic Schools team. We wish her the best of luck for this event.
We’re skipping through the term!
St Francis Xavier has raised over $11 000 for the Heart Foundation!
Yet to register your child it not too late:
A reminder that students will be skipping throughout the term in PE lessons, as well as being provided opportunities to practise their skills at recess and lunch. This time can be added to your skipping log on your fundraising page.
We invite parents to join us at morning assembly on Wednesday 25th September for the Jump Rope for Heart - Jump off Day. The Jump Off Day is the final day of our school’s Jump Rope for Heart program. We will be showcasing skills the students have learnt and acknowledge the community’s fundraising efforts.
Thank you for supporting the Jump Rope for Heart program!
